Natralock, a security packaging concept developed by MeadWestvaco, locks in products but doesn’t lock out customers. (In comparison to clamshells, standard kitchen scissors will easily and safely open a Natralock package at home.) And that’s just the beginning of the breakthrough news.
For manufacturers there is little or no cost to switch to Natralock and reap the benefits of harder-selling graphics and happier customers (i.e. reduced wrap rage and injuries caused by over-packaging).
For retailers, there is a “best-of-all-worlds” scenario – a theft-deterring package that “wows” at point-of-sale with bold graphics and is much kinder to the environment.
